Description
This is a drawing of a title page. The title is written in large, bold font across the top of the page, focusing on the city of Venice and its views in the works of Antoni Canal. Red and black inks emphasize different sections of the text, most of which is in Latin. Below the text, there is an ornamental embellishment with an elaborate illustration. The illustration includes a central figure, possibly an allegorical or classical figure, surrounded by a richly adorned frame with intricate scrollwork, shields, and symbolic elements. At the bottom, there are publication details and a red seal, indicating it is a publication from Venice dated MDCCXLII (1742).
